About us

We are Adrian Erlikhman and Yonatan Zarur—two high school students passionate about making a difference in the Jewish community. We saw a growing need for a platform that helps people stay safe and fosters a sense of unity and support. With that goal in mind, we applied for the Teen Innovation Grant (TIG), and, with the guidance of our incredible mentor, Jane Miller, SafeJew was born.

Our Mission

SafeJew began as a way to keep the Jewish community informed about antisemitic incidents and potential safety risks. But as we worked on the project, we realized it could be so much more. Beyond just a safety resource, SafeJew has evolved into a safe space—a platform for connection, awareness, and empowerment for Jews in and beyond Greater Los Angeles.

What We Do

  • Community ConnectionSafeJew serves as a space where Jewish individuals can find support, resources, and solidarity.

  • Data-Driven Insights – By analyzing reports and trends, we aim to empower organizations and individuals with the knowledge to take action.

Why SafeJew Matters

Antisemitism is an ongoing challenge, and staying informed is crucial for safety. But beyond that, we believe in strengthening Jewish identity and community bonds. SafeJew is about awareness, resilience, and fostering a sense of belonging in an ever-changing world.
